A Celebration of International Polar Year

On Monday, April 6, the National Academy of Sciences and National Science Foundation are organizing a celebration of the early accomplishments of International Polar Year 2007-2008. To be held from 2:30-5:30 pm, the meeting will include highlights of IPY science projects, focusing on common lessons being learned in both the Arctic and the Antarctic. Topics will include climate change, sea ice stability, Antarctic ecosystems, people in the changing Arctic, and more.

This event is free and open to the public.
